aishiteruze also has a male lead dealing with looking after a young girl for different reasons. Though it has a lot more focus on romance, cuteness, and drama, definitely a shoujo manga compared to my girl, but the themes are similar.
Though the main characters are quite different personality wise, they both fall into a situation where they become the guardians of a child they just met. They are both so adorably sweet, that it may just be impossible to stop smiling after you read them.
