Both involve something related in the cellphone as an issue in the story that will bring the protoganists together
Both have a family issue
Both girls are taken care about by the elder men. And there is also some mobile staff in "Taiyou no Ie" takes places, but not the same way as it does in "Dengeki Daisy"

Dengeki Daisy and Taiyou no Ie doesn't seem too similar at first. However, the connection between the main characters are similar in terms of their relationship. For instance, the main guy plays the role of a guardian and oversees a younger girl's will being. There is development in their relationship that explores a variety of themes. Family is one of those prominent issues that is realistic and has cleverly presented.
I love Dengeki Daisy. I've been reading it since it came out, and I finally brought myself to read the last chapters. After finishing that manga, I was convinced I would never fall in love with a manga like I did Dengeki Daisy. Taiyou no Ie is lacking the cell phone, hacking business that was central to the plot of Dengeki Daisy, and as a result is a lot more realistic to the point of being "Slice of Life". Not that I'm complaining, it's an enjoyable, more relaxing read. No one's life is ever at stake,Taiyou no Ie is just (fairly) normal people doing (fairly)

Age gap - older guy. And guy kind of taking care for girl. Also female charactes are pretty similar.
- Age gap done right, great relationship between the leads.
- TnI is more wholesome and realistic, DD is more serious with the hacker business since people get injured and lives are at stake.
- Closely related to family.
- A mobile is relevant in some way.
- Little (TnI) to none (DD) love triangle crap.
- Character development comes first, romance comes second.
- Beautifully drawn.
- Might need tissues.
