Hibari no Asa

Deftly written psychological dramas about teens going through harrowing trauma. Both have a fixation with a particularly torny subject, although Hibari no Asa handles it much better. Featuring characters exhibiting horrible moral decay.
Both involve the deteriorating state of the protagonist, as they try to pretend everything is okay, despite their trauma. Both characters are distant from their family, and their monologues are eerily reminiscent of each other. Both authors used the manga as a place to express their emotions and get over things that happened in their lives.
