In these series, the main characters get involved with females whom seem to be possible saviors for them.
The two of the series are "dramedies" from the 2000s, as well as both being adaptations: NHK being adapted from a novel of the same name, and Chikan Otoko being adapted from a 2chan thread, where the events of the manga were transcribed from (and then fictionalized).
