They both follow a boy chasing their dreams. They have similar art styles. They both meet interesting people along the way and have that bit of love happening. They just give the same feeling.
In both manga, a boy goes to an elite school in Japan. There, the students hone their craft and work to become professionals. However, in Hime-doll!!, Kiriyama is a hairstylist, and in Shokugeki no Souma, Souma is a chef. The two of them meet fun & unique people at school and compete with other students. Both manga are quite funny and entertaining.
