3D Kanojo and Hormiya are like your everyday drama stories with realism, humor, and even bits of romance. They explore youth in a school life setting as well as situations that many people may experience in real life. Until of course, the main female protagonist meet a guy that really brings out the best from them. The relationship connections of both series are developed well and in general, we see their progress each chapter. Both series also deals with certain social affairs with a clever way of storytelling.
Both are really cute romances with a quirky otaku looking guy and a popular girl. Both have really nice art and a similar tone to them.

Both stories stops and look into the everyday life of growing teen individuals, exploring some things the younger generation is getting through and how they cope with them. Throughout the story, these said individuals bond with each other and create a variety of dynamics between one another. In the beginning they are alone and in the end, they are a group.
