Pastel and Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou follows a different premise but has some similar vibe with the tone of their stories. The main male protagonist meets a girl that they grow fond and throughout both series, there's a growing chemistry between them. Romance is evident in both series along with a slice of life feeling. As both series focuses a lot on relationship building, except drama and a lot of characterization.
it has been long since i read pastel, so i'm not exactly sure where the two manga has similarity in story. one thing i do remember though, both manga is really slow-paced. it's quite interesting in the start , but it gradually becomes slower paced once they started dating. if you like silly romance with slow pace, go read either one.
