Although Song of the Long March has not finished, I find that it's similar to Aisopos in it's careful exploration of another culture, and takes you back in time while keeping a sweet fantasy! Filled with scenery, plot, and romance it's like watching a Chinese historical revenge drama, except with a higher quality plot, and you're reading it. I enjoyed that they were both historical in nature.
