The main protagonists have a lot of similarities. They both had their families taken away from them, both wish to restore what was rightfully theirs one way or another, both have to fight against political forces of one country or another.
Both mangas have heavily stylized and distinctive art styles.
Both take place in semi-historical settings, although Arslan Senki is a bit more fantastical since it's based off of a legend.
Both are fairly non-standard European, Japanese settings you would otherwise get in a manga/anime production.
Martial arts, war, and politics are all major themes in both mangas.
You get the gist.
