Though Abnormal-kei is a harem and Ana S. is not, both contain a healthy amount of abnormal, and oftentimes, murderous women that come in and out of the protagonist's lives. However, the protagonists couldn't be anymore different. Abnormal Kei's lead is an emotionless high school student that somehow manages to control all 7 members of his crazy harem. On the other hand, Ana S.'s lead is a pathetic, suicidal college age dropout who jumps at the opportunity of intimacy with women who all happen to be homicidal psychos in their own special way.
It's a wonder how either are still alive.

Despite following different premises, both series has a similar atmosphere when it comes to the darker side of their perspective stories. The main female character has a sadistic side and is well known for stalking others. Throughout both series, the MC learns of her intentions and the relationship between them becomes a twisted mind game. Both series adapts violence and murder with an intent to present horror.
