I just realized theres some similarity with the dynamic of the main couple, the male lead is also very honest and straightforward.
Love Roma ends up leaning more into the 'Manzai Couple' as their comedy but it being shorter means it focus only with the main couple and developing their relationship as a couple while Ponkotsu have rooms to fleshed out their side characters and their own ships.
