There is a shinobi, called Kagetora in both manga, who falls in love with the one he has to protect, so it's a forbidden love.
There are a few differences though. Kagetora is shounen, while Shinobi Life is shoujo, but they're both romance anime. And in Shinobi Life, there's time traveling.
They're both very good and if you like Kagetora, you'll like Shinobi Life too.
Ninja's are a stereotype commonly found in Asian countries, especially Japan. These two manga although less popular than Naruto, share various similarities. One is that the protagonists are both ninjas named Kagetora, and romance is prominent in both.
Both male MC's name is Kagetora and are Ninjas that are given the misson to protect a Hime. Both Kagetora has growing feelings for the female MC but are trying to surpress that feeling. And both Kagetoras doesn't know much about the modern stuff like stove, But Kagetora from Shinobi Life knows even less than Kagetora from Kagetora.
If you like one of them you will like the other.
