Long and slow-paced fantasy manga with relaxing atmosphere, memorable characters and amazing artwork. The main characters are unaffected by the passing of time, their bodies remain the same throughout time, both of them experience the passing of time through their relationship with others around them. These series give off feeling the pain of loss but not overly dramatic and perfectly balanced bittersweet. Both have chill and cute moments to distract you from that melancholy as well.

Both are anime centered in non-human protagonists whose lifespans surpass the normal and in no hurry.
Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is really calm, and seeks its development in a desolated world, focusing on little friendships.
Frieren is full of fights (yet sometimes calm) and most of the growth is connected with some new friends.
There are also a lot of similar existential moments.
