Both have characters that start dating after the main female asks the main male out, however are hiding something from their partners. Renai Shimasen takes place after highschool/college and is a bit more ecchi, while still maintaining a soft/pure feeling to it, whereas HajiOtsu takes place in highschool and is much more pure in both art style and dialogue.
