While your lie in april has more drama, blue orchestra has more music.
In a sense, I prefer Blue Orchestra. Each chapter is amazing!
If your lie in april focused more on the music than the drama, then it would be like Blue Orchestra.
Not that the drama in your lie in april was bad, it was amazing in fact. The plot was amazing.
I believe the plot of Your Lie in April is more developed than Blue Orchestra, but nonetheless if you like MUSIC, then read BLUE ORCHESTRA!!!!
Both mangas involve a middle school classical music genius who is past his prime. They are sucked back into their passion because of the motivation provided by a larger than life character. Both are very romantic and thought-provoking manga and you can't help but root for the mc to find success in his career.

Although not as much of a tear-jerker, Ao no Orchestra is still a wonderful series
- Both have a seriously talented musician that once quit music but got dragged back into it by a female lead
- Both mc's have a sad/dark backstory involving family
- Both have cheerful female leads
- Both have heavy dramatic moments
