They share a similar surreal kind of art style which contrasts really well with the themes they cover such as family problems including unfit parenting/inappropriate family relationships, societies unjust view of homosexuals, the consequences of emotional abuse which leads to emotionally stunted individuals and society in general with it's obsession of beauty and status along with appearances in the public eye.
