Lonesome boy met lonesome girl and they somehow decide to stick together to have fun and make friends.
Adam looks a lot like Shinagawa, reliable and friendly, while Oska is as hilariously funny and scary as Adachi.
Add to that a bunch of senseless situations and quite a funny herd of foe and fellow (like the little and cute Hachi/Rinka or the handy Tarou/Izumi).
Quite similare art and plot except the lack of supernatural/fantasy in Yankee-kun to megane-chan.
