While the stories don't have much in common, what is similar are the relationships the characters in the story share and the protagonists' backgrounds. Both protagonists learn martial arts from a childhood friend and both work to solve conflicts with a kid as their partner.
Both are manga adaptations of light novels in which a weak guy is adopted by a rich family running a dojo with a girl that teach him. In both the main character is paired with a loli in order to deal with crimes.
