GTO and Ansatsu Kyoushitsu not only feature a teacher as a major main character but also what goes inside the classroom can be quite humorous with the amount of gags and themes. The main male protagonist teacher their students with some unusual methods although they are genuine about their roles. There is a large amount of focus on characterization in both series when we find out about the students as well. Do note that Ansatsu Kyoushitsu portrays supernatural elements by adding unnatural events with assassination as a theme as well. GTO on the other hand has more realism.
Protagonists that break society's norm of a typical teacher. They both provide the students with life lessons through unorthodox means. A tentacled monster that plans on destroying the Earth in Ansatsu Kyoushitsu and a reformed biker gang leader in GTO.
Both teachers go through outrageous lengths; following their own unconventional methods to help the students in both school and real life. They are constantly pursuing the ambition to become the world's greatest teacher.

The teachers that are calm and nice are not always the best. In both of these school centered manga, the main character is a perverted and violent teacher that may seem like that he isn't doing what's right, but the fact is that they are just using unconditional methods to guide their students through school-life and their personal troubles. If you enjoyed one of these school manga with action and comedy, then you should enjoy the other.

Ansatsu Kyoushitsu is a pretty much a more modern version of GTO.
Both manga have a similar premise: a unique teacher is brought in to teach a class for troubled kids. Both manga feature the right amount of comedy and drama. I found them really similar. However, GTO features a more classic and realistic art style, while Ansatsu Kyoushitsu has a more modern and generic art style.
Either way, both manga are pretty good, and please read both of them! You won’t regret it!
