Denpa Kyoushi is like GTO for the 21. century. Both Onizuka and Kagami help students in their own way, Kagami using that brilliant brain of his and Onizuka pulling through with sheer strength and willpower.
Has the similar teacher helping students by different means but this one is an anime lover and GTO is a bike gang leader.

Well there both just about a guy who helps out unwilling students with their problems through... well... let's just say unorthodox methods.
although they're very similar, they have many differences including the fact that Kagami does not want to be a teacher while its Onizuka's life dream, and also GTO has a lot more ecchi stuff in it. If you liked GTO you would probably like denpa kyoushi...
Both have teachers with a unique style of education which leads to great disasters and funny moments.And for those who might care there is a bit of romantic subplot.
