Both manga are stories of despair as an isolated guy struggles to find meaning within their own life. In both stories they have to battle against the terrifying external and social environment of the world. Fighting against bullying and their own social anxiety on both the mental and physical battlefields. Holyland differs being more martial arts focused while Kurosawa offers a deeper level of raw emotion. Overall, both manga are great stories about depression and the simple struggle of wanting to fit in, recommended for anyone.
Two recommended stories about men who struggle to find a place to belong to (not literal meaning). Protagonists deal with acceptance and depression in a city were delinquency is inminent, and they will depend sometimes on their physical strength.
