Both series involve characters pretending to be a couple, but for two totally different reasons. In Nisekoi, the couple is formed as an attempt to unite two gang families, whereas in Koisome Momiji it is to practice for an acting role.

Both series involves a girl and a guy pretending to be a couple. Despite this, there are signs that expresses more than that. Of course, there is also drama, comedy, and romance in the series. And speaking of romance, there is misunderstandings, love rivals, and other little gags that adds in the drama. Both series has similar artwork as well the setting. Both series are lighthearted and expresses them like a romantic comedy for the readers.

At the first of the series. the main character enter a fake relationship. At Nisekoi for a truce between the Yakuza and the Mafia. At Koisome Momiji for the preparation for the girl role at the movie she about to star. Gradually over time feeling start to grow between the couple at Nisekoi. At Koisome Momiji their feeling already grow the first time they met. Their relationship will be tested over time at the time of the series.

Series in which the main characters pretend to be lovers because of some external circumstances, but slowly fall in love with each other. In nisekoi, they become a fake couple to avoid gang wars, while in koisome momiji, they become a fake couple to practise for the female lead's drama career.

Similar characters, art style, and themes. Both protagonists start off in a "fake" relationship with the female lead. In Nisekoi, they become lovers to stop the feud between their families, while they become a couple in Koisome Momiji as practice for the heroine's role in a movie. Will this "fake" relationship ever become reality? Plenty of drama and misunderstandings are sure to ensue in this romantic school comedy between the protagonist, his crush, and the childhood friend.
