Both stories deal with an innocent girl (Ninako/Sumino) who begins to like the cool, popular guy (Ren/Hinata), and the guy's blonde best friend (Andou/Teru) also begins to fall for the girl, forming a love triangle. Both guys have to fight each other to win the girl's affection.
While Strobe Edge is more deep and involved with many love plots going on, Koko ni Iru yo! is straightforward and also shorter in length.
