The leading characters in each manga have a very similar dynamic in terms of how they interact with each other.

These mid-length shoujo titles both focus on an initially lost heroine who discovers herself and winds up in romantic drama along the way. More than that, though, they shine when it comes to their ensemble casts: groups of eccentric and talented high school students. The bonds of deep friendship are just as important as those of romance.

Both of these mangas deal with a character who doesn't really have any friends and doesn't really belong. This character ends up meeting various eccentric type people who become her friends and introduce her to a different life.

The series are structurally similar, with both focused around a listless, unmotivated teenage girl who meets and befriends a group of unusual but talented peers whose drive and support inspires her to make and pursue her own dreams.

Same feeling. Both are about friendship, love, fashion world and eccentric personalities. Both are wonderful slice of life stories with some similarities:

El Liston = Paradise Kiss
Momiji = Miwako
Rei = Arashi

Paradise Kiss is more mature, though. But if you like one, you'll certainly enjoy the other.

Both are about a "normal" girl who befriends a group of misfits and falls in love along the way.

Both manga are about a rather good-looking heroine who is going through life without a clear idea of her future. She meets an eccentric group of people who drastically change her life and help guide her to her path (as cheesey as that sounds). Both of the endings are unexpected, especially when you first start reading the story.

both are drama themed stories focusing on the trials and tribulations of a ya cast as well as nice art and character designs too.

Both have the same vibe of jaded female learning to be happy
