Both series have this cool as fuck early 2000s style that is super edgy but super cool too. Both are also very violent, gory and action packed.
The biggest similarity though has to be in the artistic direction as both like to use a very exaggerated artstyle where all the people and weapons stretch, warp and twist in all kinds of unreal ways, as if everything is made of magic rubber. The way both mangakas draw hair in particular is very characteristic and an instantly recognizable aspect of their character designs.
