Minamoto-kun Monogatari

Known for its unorthodox nature of romance, both series adapts a story where the MC deals with various girls. (inspired by Genji Monogatari) Throughout their story, the MC encounters a variety of female characters with diverge personalities. Although their premise/motivations are different, there's a similarity where the main protagonist gets close to them with advice from a secondary main character. Both series are known for various relationship developments. Minomoto-kun Monogatari is also infamous with some of its mature content.
Both works are interpretive pieces of Genji Monogatari, one of the oldest Japanese tale. Similar to the original novel, these works feature a protagonist who interact with numerous romantic interests at the same time, in a way that works something like a harem, with each heroine corresponding to a girl in Genji monogatari.
