It has a lot of the melancholy feeling this piece has, as well as a beautiful way to portray a first love that seems unthinkable and “wrong”.
I feel like both stories are very poetic in the way they were illustrated, as well as the inner dialogs the characters have.
Haikei nii-san has a different twist to the relationship at the end, but the sensation of reading Koi ni mo naranai was the exact same one for me at many times, so I think people who enjoyed one will probably also like the other.
