-both protagonist of the manga accidentally found something that they're passionate about that they didnt expect that it will become they dream.
-both MC befriend people who are walking the same as them.
-both MC continue to learn and workhard about their dreams so that they can continue it on college.
-both are school setting and both have a nice phase that you will see how they progress and come closer to their dreams.
Both involve a protagonist who goes to a school to specialize in something they initially did not have an interest in but get invested in, working hard to learn and appreciate their peers in the same field. Both give insight into the struggles met by people who choose to work in that field and the satisfaction of hard fought triumph through time, passion, and effort
Both protagonists are smart school students who find no joy in life and have no passion to pursue. They both also find their goal and a reason to be live their life to their fullest. The big difference consists on their goal, setting and maturity, as gin no saji is more child friendly and has more humor simmilar to shonen series.

The MC goes against everyone's expectations with signing up for a surprising feild of study. For blue period, its for art and for silver spoon, its for agriculture.
Both MC's face the challenges that comeswith the new fields of study and they are thrown headfirst into completely new worlds.
These are also pretty educational. I learned a lot when it comes to how farms operate and what goes in to art when people are painting or drawing.
