Captures a similar feel to early AoT before it tried to get philosophical. It definitely takes some inspiration but not similar enough to call it a knock-off by any means. It currently a very fun action title.

Is very similar like in everything, the world have creatures or monsters that are a threat to mankind, the character and apparently other humans can transform in those monsters, the main character also join to a military force, and different kinds of stuff that you'll see that are similar to Shingeki no Kyojin
Kaiju 8-gou has similar type of monsters, Kaiju and Titans are giants man-eating monster.

Both manga have a similar start, big creatures attacking humanity.
Both have really good action and Characters.
But Kaijuu 8-gou's story is more simple and less lore based than Shingeki no Kyojin so it's better if you want an action based manga that is also chill.
Both have a similar premise of humans fighting monsters and the protagonist becomes a unique hybrid. They both have specialized equipment and a specialized fighting unit for the same. (Hoshino is also very similar to Levi)
