Both of these manga are WSJ manga in which the main characters try to outwit their enemies and evade capture. They're also both tagged as mysteries on this website, and they both contain content that wouldn't be out of place in a seinen.

Death Note and The Promised Neverland are two of the most intense and suspenful works of the whole industry that they were created in, their storylines is heavily detective orientated, with both calm moments and conflicts happening, and through the eyes of the main characters, while everyone else also contributes towards the actions taken, basically all of the events unfold and are manipulated like chess, based on how they decide to proceed in order to have the best possible outcome for their own interests. Both of these worlds are from the most fascinating environments ever created, the characters, storyline and virtually all other aspects.
Well-written shounen series. Has "battles" of wits. Both heavily dark and psychological. Yakusoku is a spiritual successor to Death Note.
‘Non battle battle series’. Much more mind games involved instead of traditional shorn jump fighting action. Very interesting plots with twists, mysteries etc. gripping stories and good characters.

Both of these manga have a different tone to them especially early Promised Neverland.
The physiological mind games at play in both of these mangas are great and even though they're different in many aspects I genuinly think that most people will enjoy both.
Both Yakusoku no Neverland and Death Note are different styles of mangas. However, if you enjoy the psychological mind games of Death Note, Yakusoku no Neverland is a manga that offers a psychological warfare between main characters and the villains of the story
Dialogue, scheming/planning and the battle of wits in Neverland is very reminiscent of Death Note.

Both are works with plenty of psychological thriller and plot twists, despite the differences in the plot by The Promised Neverland being published in the magazine Shounen Jump that also published Death Note and this so that the work can be considered as its spiritual successor.
Excessive thinking, a lot of thoughts characters are having are portrayed in a similar way. Plot twists and a game of cat and mouse between two ideals.
Yakusoku no Neverland has similar pacing to Death Note and an engaging cast of characters with amazing brainpower, much like Light, L, and Near. The plot is equally dark if not darker, making this series a strong spiritual successor to Ohba and Obata's masterpiece. I absolutely loved Death Note, and Yakusoku no Neverland gives me the same sense of anticipation and drama.

Death Note was my first manga/anime that wasn't about fighting. The suspense and growth in characters (good/ bad ways) made death note good. I have not finished Promised Neverland yet but I feel that same suspense.
Both series are shonen filled with mind games and dark scenes. The first arc of The Promised Neverland is especially like Death Note, as later parts have more action.
