Trapped and with little choice left but to fight for survival, Btooom! and Real Account appeals to the survival horror genre. But in addition to just instilling on that trope, both series crafts psychological mind games. Both series' main male protagonist makes a resolve to survive while encountering allies and enemies in their stories. There are twists especially involving the origins of the game along with characters' motives. Recommended for fans who are interested in survival fiction/horror.
They are both death game, though real account is far better regarding plot and art (by my oppinion).
When the protagonists find themselves trapped in a recreation of an online world, they are faced with a cruel truth:
It isn't a harmless recreation.
Actions that would usually be safely performed from beyond the monitor suddenly have very deadly consequences for those who are trapped in the recreated world. Especially in Btooom!, the consequences are logically predictable, seeing as everyone is armed to the teeth! But not every death can be explained with conventional logic, as in Real Account. Lots of horror. Lots of survival.
