Aside from the fact that both series are intended for mature readers, they share a lot of similarities plot-wise: 1) The female lead develops a Stockholm Syndrome for a criminal. 2) The themes featured here are more psychological than that of a romantic/smutty one. 3) They ended in a similar way as well.
