Shaped by the foundation of a war-time atmosphere and imperialism themes, both series adapts a story filled with fictional warfare. The main male characters are portrayed with the mind of a tactician and throughout both series, we see their leadership skills come into play. War exists in both series as we see it on the battlefield. And among all other factors, both series illustrates what royalty means with the dictatorship of certain leaders.
Both manga's indulge in politics and warfare which shows the struggles of maintaining an empire. The two main character's aspire to be something special while displaying amazing achievements on their way to the top. Both plots show a parade of wars, not only does this reveal the amazing minds and tacticians of the periods but shows the great warriors and the amazing things they accomplish during battle.
