Similarily a game of lies and deceit, the characters in Tomodachi Game must also play games to clear their debt. While under the guise of friendship, characters in Tomodachi Game have more secrets than they let on, and deceive each other throughout the story. While it may start a bit slower than Liar Game, Tomodachi Game will develop darker aspects, and the protagonist turns out to be more cunning and have a deep past (like Akiyama) than what seems to be at first. If you like the backstabbing and mind game elements, then you'll enjoy Tomodachi Game.

First of all, this two have this similar premise (games filled with "believing other people" or "deceiving other people" to win. High risk, high take kind of game where their own finance is at stake). Both have an incredibly genius swindler taking part of the game (one directly and one by contract with the actual game player). Filled with a logical decision and cunning scheme to overthrow the opponent. Tomodachi has a grim tone in its art while Liar Game has a trippy, semi-realistic tone in its art. If you're fine with not-so-common art, then you'll like both of these
Dedicated high-stakes survival death game Manga with a smart and bold main protagonist and a concept of prisoner’s dilemma happens frequently in every match. Strategy, trick, and mind-reading, those are key elements for players to achieve victory.
