I'm pretty sure barong gong is based in battle tendecy: They have the same vibes and a lot of similarities:
-Both main characters are tall, muscular, charismatic, crafty, handsome and antiheroic
-Neo human and pillarmen are basically the same
-Involves nazis
-Battles are decided by intelligence more than by power
-A lot of violence and political incorrect
-Both stories are the same length more less (7 and 9 volumes)
-Similar plot
-The artstyle is a bit similar
