I see A LOT of comparsions between Love Hina and a) or b) but I've never feel like they quite nail them.
Altough Mahoraba doesn't quite hit it either, it gave me the most similiar feel. The support cast is almost the same formula as Love Hina, the humour is very alike, and they both concern a female residence.
However Mahoraba is lighter offering no fanservice, and a lighter mood overrall. However the basics are the most similar I've found to love Hina.
If you enjoyed one, you will enjoy the other to some extent at least.
