Shokugeki no Souma and Gamble Fish shares a common trend of competition. The main male protagonist has a clever mind and often thinks of clever tactics against their opponents. Throughout the story, they are not afraid to take risks and put major stakes on the line. Both series are also infamous for their fan service that has a bit of metaphoric imagery. There is a considerable colorful cast of characters that makes both series' story quite appealing.
