Both have that surreal feeling, where anything can happen. In terms of setting & mood, Bobobo is on the lighter, shonen-esque action/adventure side, while CLnO has a definite slice of life/ mild romance feel, with noticeably more humour aimed at an older demographic.
The tying similarity between the two is their gag nature and not much else, so one should take this recommendation with a tablespoon of salt, at least.
