The main characters strive to make a dream become reality against the odds. Through the way they fail some times and have internal disagreements between them and even risk breaking up as a group/pair. And both main characters start out living a normal, empty, regular life until something gives them the motivation to move forward.

A group/pair of friends teaming up to achieve a success and becoming famous. I found out both being very similiar in terms of humor, friendship, rivalry, and overcoming difficulties. There is a little of romance in both of them. The main strength of Beck, as well as Bakuman., are great characters with whom you can easily identify, and passion for drawing/music. Both are very interesting and have satisfying endings. If you liked one of them, I think you would enjoy the other. ;d
