While the main characters are the complete opposite of each other on a sexual spectrum, Is Love the Answer? and My Wandering Warrior Existence felt like they gave off the same kind of experience. The LGBTQ+ protagonist deeply contemplates about their identity and what love is; but they also go about their lives outside the subject a bit in fun ways, so it doesn't feel entirely like a textbook essay or anything. Both authors are LGBTQ+ as well.
