Both are psychological manga that start out with the main character hating a girl that transfers into class. Both deal with depressing topics like bullying and abuse, and you're probably going to cry reading them.

In terms of themes, both manga involves a girl who is ostracized by her peers. At the same time though, they do meet someone who seems to care about them.
There's a certain feeling of tragedy and gloomy atmosphere throughout these two perspective series as well that includes depression, bullying, and violence.
both stories have a girl that is outcasted by her peers and eventually finding a friend that helps them throuhgout the story.
