Both are by the same author and have the same type of feel. The art style is similar (I guess that's a given!). However, Oyasumi Pun Pun can seem a little more lighthearted at times. Even so, both have pure soul-crushing moments.

Oyasumi Punpun and Nijigahara Holograph are both Inio Asano's best works, both stories convey psychological elements, while Nijigahara Holograph is more horror based but, its more similar to Punpun with the character development and the real life problems from day to day life. Nijigahara Holograph is very short (12 chapters) but, it caught me by surprise how I got attached to the characters in the first few chapters because the manga is very short. Oyasumi Punpun is very depressing I won't lie, Punpun lives a hard life with his verbally abusive and alcoholic Mother, his Dad tries his best to be there for his son
