both the heroines are 'role model students' and has taking an interest to the schools known delinquent.
When it comes to relationship building, both series has a similar premise with the main girl forming a relationship with a school delinquent. On the other hand, the main girl is considered a model or at least known for their academics at school. Speaking of which, expect drama to unfold in their school life setting as we learn more about the characters and events they get involved in. Romance is clearly evident with shoujo themes so anyone looking for those should consider giving these two titles a try.
-Role model student female leads whom both excel in academics, but somehow end up taking interest in the school "delinquent" male leads whom often skip class.
-Male leads are outcasts, misunderstood, a bit violent, and have a soft spot for female lead.
-Female leads are firm and not pushovers.
-Unrequited love does not drag on throughout the entire series and there is focus on the relationship's development.
-Character development for friends outside of the main leads as well.
-Tonari No Kaibutsu-Kun's leads are a little more unconventional while Hana-Kun to Koisuru Watashi's leads are a little more typical but both are very enjoyable shoujos nonetheless.
