Both series involve female protagonists who start off the relationship with some kind of subterfuge. In Ookami's case, the guy involved is immediately in on what it is while in Watashi he is not in the know from the start. Both the the guys are popular with the girls but keep up a facade when really what they are like is nearly the opposite of that nice persona they project. Then there's the male rival who is the shy type of character.
