Both Baccano! and Durarara!! are written by similar author, Narita Ryohgo and have similar twisted of time-lines. There are a lot of main characters in both series as well; making it difficult to pin-point which one is the leading-main-characters of both series. Created by the same author, Durarara!! and Baccano! has a very diverse range of characters with a host of potentials based on their roles in their story. In fact, some characters share very similar personalities between the two universes. Although their settings different, there are some similar atmosphere that you can tell from the writing. Their perspective stories also composes of characters that become connected based on past and present events. Both series are also known for their supernatural elements with clever timing on its comedy, drama, and action.
These two are both made by the same author (Narita Ryohgo). Durarara and Baccano are both very compelling and have interesting characters that twists the story into a new dimension. There's amounts of supernatural elements in both series, though Durarara leans more closer to Japan's lifestyle and is more "lighthearted" than Baccano's amounts of blood.
