The female lead of this manga reminds me a lot of Chihaya - pretty, strong in the sports she is in, a very child like and oblivious.
The male lead reminds me a lot of Taichi - Smart and he's been in love with the female lead ever since they were kids. They got separated during middle school and meet up again in HS. They help the female lead into achieving her goal even though it's painful sometimes.
