In both series, after the MC reads a novel, the world is changed by an apocalypse similar to the one said novel talks about, so the MC already knows part of what's going to happen, and using his skills and fellow survivor allies he makes along the way, the MC tries to fulfill a goal that drives him.

Somehow, the world has changed into an apocalyptic one due to a novel the main character has (been) read(ing), so he's the only one who knows parts of what's happening and what will happen in the near future.
