Both series are about a girl who become entangled with a sheltered son of a wealthy family. The boys may be rich, but they are very stiff and socially awkward due to being sheltered. They're very similar characters.
The girls are more normal, though they have vastly different personalities. (Mirai from Sekai de Ichiban Itaranu Koi is socially awkward and shy but very sweet, while Yuri from Hayaku Shitai Futari is a lot more social and strong-willed.)
They are both stories about couples challenging the traditions rich families set and finding their own happiness.
