Both titles are the new-wave "waifu eat waifu protec" monster-girl psychological dramas.
Premises are extremely similar - a tormented protagonist is being "protected" from supernatural entities trying to "eat" them by a monstrous shapeshifter of tremendous power, however the said protector has an ulterior motive, which is to consume the protagonist themselves.
Both series have extremely good art and a bit complex and not particularly straight-forward romantic element.
There is a sense of doom and gloom premating both works suggesting some sort of tragic backstory and/or conclusion.
