The relationships of the characters in these josies are similar in the way they treat each other and ideas about marriage are a major theme. The couples start out where they don't like each other completely and tease each other. The couple in Hapi Mari have an arranged marriage, while the female lead in Totsuzen has her goal to get married before she meets the guy. They feature a career girl paired with a successful guy. In both series, the concept of marriage is a prominent theme. The main female protagonist gets involved in an affair that begins with a rocky relationship. However, the connection between the two lead characters grows with each chapter. Both series also has a fair amount of realism such as the characters' occupations. Also, expect some mature content as the story progresses.
Pretty much identical male and female leads except in Totsuzen, the female lead is amazing at her work and is eye to eye with her man. Hapi Mari is way more dramatic overall with a lot of soap opera drama while Totsuzen keeps it simple and doesn't have as much of a mess.
